Monika hails from the exotic land of Provo, Utah and went to the University of Utah for her MD and PhD in biomedical informatics. Professionally, she is interested in pursuing a Psychiatric residency next year, and has special academic interest in catatonia, phobias, OCD, and eating disorders. In her spare time, she likes to nurture her borderline pathological love of cats (and all animals) with her husband Scott, watch terrible reality TV with her friends, play Metroidvania video games, and cook foods from different cultures.
